One day it’s too hot, and the next you’re reaching for the heater again — that’s summer in the Mountains. The season from December through to late January brings Christmas, New Year and so many special moments in between.

In my family, we celebrate Heiliger Abend, the European tradition of opening gifts on Christmas Eve. Whatever your own traditions — with family, friends, or simply in your own company — I wish you a joyful and peaceful holiday season.

And don’t forget to do something special in our precious Blue Mountains. Take a walk to a waterfall, visit a lookout, or support a local business while you’re out and about.
